SOLO

João Pedro Teixeira's solo performances are distinct. Audiences can detect multiple musicians through an artist of universal ability. His two accordions (piano and eight-bass diatonic), on which he plays his own compositions and interpretations, reveal a musician without category or label.

Still, João is well versed in his cultural roots, executing delicate and sophisticated pieces. His broad repertoire encompasses a variety of rhythms from Brazil and Latin America, jazz, and classical music. Compositions by his mentor and friend Hermeto Pascoal are salient in Joo's performances.
